Autocorrect on the iPhone is designed to make typing faster and more accurate. However, it can sometimes misinterpret your input, leading to frustrating errors like changing correctly typed words into something completely different. Common problems include autocorrect replacing words with unintended suggestions or failing to recognize new words.
Resetting the keyboard dictionary fixed it for me. Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
If your iPhone's autocorrect is behaving unpredictably or incorrectly, resetting the keyboard dictionary can often resolve the issue.
Solution1:Reset the Keyboard Dictionary
Open Settings: Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
Navigate to General: Tap General.
Go to Transfer or Reset iPhone: Scroll to the bottom and select Transfer or Reset iPhone.
Reset Keyboard Dictionary: Tap Reset, then choose Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
iOS 18’s autocorrect has proven to be frustrating for many users, making typing less efficient and more error-prone. Until Apple addresses these issues in future updates, users may need to explore alternative solutions like tweaking keyboard settings, using third-party keyboards, or providing direct feedback to Apple.
