Engineering Mag Does iPhone Clone Teardown
Semiconductor Insights‘ Patrick Mannion, who did one of the first teardown analyses of the real Apple iPhone, did another teardown of an early Chinese iPhone “clone” for an article published today. The phone doesn’t look anything like the iPhone, but uses Apple and iPhone branding. And quality? “They just took a basic GSM phone and SLAPPED ON AN APPLE LOGO.” However, the article points out that “subsequent counterfeits have become much more sophisticated and Semiconductor Insights predicts will soon surpass the original.” Here comes the VIDEO!
